Alice Catherine Alice Catherine

I recently got back from a little trip to London and I managed to squeeze in a visit to the Sézane Marylebone store. They kindly opened the doors to us half an hour before opening which was such a special treat…

As soon as the doors opened to the rest of the public, the shop floor was flooded with people so I’m very glad that I managed to snap some imagery for you guys in it’s rare quiet and serene state!

Long time readers will know that Sézane is a special brand for me, I’ve been following their journey since they were just an online store and they were also one of the first brands to reach out to me when I started my social media/blogging journey…

Their collections are always the epitome of french/Parisian elegance to me but with a modern edge that makes them super wearable and versatile for everyday. I feel that after being such a fan of the brand for many years, I’ve definitely become accustomed to the way their clothing fits and I certainly have my favourites in terms of styles they evolve year after year. I’ve seen many collections come and go, so with this in mind, I thought I’d highlight some of my all time favourite pieces + categories for those of you who find the world of Sézane overwhelming and perhaps don’t know where to start.

First things first, the Sézane knitwear collections are always elite in my opinion! Not only do they have an incredible range of styles (truly something to suit everyone), the quality is incredible and better than a lot of higher end knitwear pieces I’ve invested in over the years.

A firm standout piece for me has to be the Betty Cardigan. It’s just made from the most beautifully soft merino wool crafted into the perfect boxy design – I always size up a couple of sizes as I prefer a looser fit and I find this particular style to fit on the smaller side. I have it in black, ecru, and the navy style with the crochet collar. All very classic choices that I have on rotation all year round. I love that it’s not a super heavy cardigan as it means it works for all seasons (especially if you live in the UK!). I really like the fact it has a little collar and big buttons, it just makes it feel like one of those special pieces you never get tired of reaching for.

I wear it a lot with my go-to Sézane jeans, the ‘Le Crop’ style which are essentially a really great high waist style that are fitted around the waist and loose on the legs. The type of jeans I feel most comfortable in!

If you’re in the market for a luxurious feeling bag but without the designer price tag, the Sézane bags are well worth looking into – I’ve had a fair few of their beautiful bags over the years and they always wear beautifully over time in my experience…

The Milo bag is very reminiscent of bags by brands like A.P.C and Celine and they also came out with some incredible tote bag styles in recent years! I have the Romie bag and I can’t recommend it enough if you’re on the hunt for an everyday tote style bag that has ample room inside but also closes in a way that makes it feel safe and secure whilst you’re out and about. Whether it’s basket bags or bucket bags you’re in search for, Sézane have a talent for crafting classic looking bags and then mixing up the designs with fun prints and textures from season to season. I love this about them because it feels like you’re investing in something classic as opposed to the latest ‘it bag’ which tends to be dangerous territory as the goal post is forever changing.

Another huge classic from Sézane is their Will Jacket, it’s been around for years and it’s the perfect light jacket that I feel as though everyone needs in their wardrobe!

Sézane always have something wonderful in the outerwear department. Whether it’s classic trench coats, Seventies inspired waistcoats or sensational tailored pieces, I’m always excited to see what they are cooking up from season to season…

Last but not least, don’t sleep on the jewellery collection! I always find that Sézane have something a little different on offer when it comes to their jewellery collections. I like fairly simple outfit combinations so I like to go a little statement with my jewellery and Sézane never disappoint. Think chunky beaded necklaces and oversized resin earrings that will complete any last minute wedding guest look!

I hope this little round up was helpful in some way! I really enjoyed putting this together and curating my most worn pieces to share with you guys.

Thanks for reading as always!
