I recently headed back to Amsterdam for a press trip with MGallery Hotels. We headed to the INK Hotel in the heart of the city for a couple of nights to check out the hotel for ourselves and to celebrate the launch of their collaboration with Ines de la Fressange. A French model and fashion designer who has created personalised products and services for the female guests who visit…

The hotel was in a great location – about ten minutes away from the Pulitzer Hotel where I stayed last time. So not far from the beautiful canals and within walking distance from all the main sights and attractions. I love visiting a city more than once in a short space of time because it never quite feels the same. You start to uncover some of the hidden gems and get a real taste for how everyday life would be if you were to move there…

It was a pretty chilled trip which is always nice – we spent our time flower arranging at a local workshop, and we also had a little boat tour complete with a picnic on board. I feel as though this month has been very flower orientated which I’m quite enjoying, I was also prettyyyy proud of the bouquet that I put together in the workshop. Maybe I’ll open a flower shop someday…

I spent most of my time in my current go-to outfit of choice – black trousers, a slouchy jumper or blouse, and a trusty trench coat. I’m so glad I picked up the Isabel Marant jumper in the sale a while back. I love the colours in it and it’s always such an easy piece to pack…

I also got to take my new Loewe basket baby for a spin – I bought it a few weeks ago when the weather was awful so it’s been sitting in it’s dust bag patiently. I have the small size and it’s absolutely perfect for what I needed. I love that it has leather straps so it feels more practical than your average basket situation. I can fit all the essentials inside (and then some), and it really does match with everything. Top tip for basket bag users: pop a little material pouch inside for all your valuables, it stops everything flying around whilst you’re out and about, and it’s a lot safer too! Trust me, I have learnt the hard way over the years…

I hope you enjoyed this random compilation of snaps anyway – I’m really enjoying the photography element of blogging at the moment. There are times during the winter months where it can feel like a bit of a slog, but I can slowly feel my enthusiasm coming back. It’s always reignited by being somewhere new – whether it’s a new city or simply a new hotel room…
