Alice Catherine Alice Catherine

I thought it was a pretty good time to sit down and have a little catch up – you know, one of those posts where I just ramble a bit, and update you with what’s been happening around these parts. October was a crazy old month for me, I often find that this time of year is always full speed ahead, and this year is shaping up to be no different. The jewellery launch couldn’t have gone any better – we completely sold out the week it went live, so thank you again to everybody who supported us and sent kind messages. Don’t worry if you had your eye on a piece for Christmas, it’s now been fully restocked, and is available to get your hands on again…

Anyway, enough about the jewellery collection for now – I feel like it’s all I’ve harped on about for weeks, but I’m very proud of how it all turned out, and sometimes you have to be your own cheerleader! Collection aside, there’s been a few other elements of newness lately…

The first big change that’s coming up will be a brand new blog design – Sam and I have been working on it for a few weeks now, and we have pretty much finalised the design! It should take around a month to make from scratch, and I’m so so excited for you guys to see it. I’ve never really had my own personalised blog design before, I just bought a cheap template when I started on WordPress, and tweaked a few things as I went along. I want my blog space to feel like much more of a reflection of me – I wanted the photography to stand out more, and I wanted it to feel a bit more unique and sophisticated…

It will still be super easy to navigate, but much more engaging (and hopefully) pleasing to the eye – I really hope you all love it as much as I do. As most of you will know, my writing is something that I want to continue to share, so it’s important for my blog to feel like a true extension of me. A simplistic template has done the job so far, but it definitely feels like the right time to take my blog in a new direction – to really up the standard, and improve the way that I put my content out into the world. I’ll keep you updated of course, but keep your eyes pealed for a complete blog makeover coming your way very soon…

The last new thing is more of a lifestyle thing, but I’m hoping it’s going to make a huge difference to my mental health/general wellbeing going forward. I have taken the plunge an got myself a bloody personal trainer – I know, I hardly recognise myself either. After months of feeling like a potato, I finally decided tostop moaning at my tight fitting denim collection, and to start doing something about it instead. I’ve decided on twice a week to start with, and hopefully I can increase to three sessions at some point. I’m doing it with Catherine (my photographer), and it’s honestly been so much fun! I can’t wait to improve, get stronger, and hopefully a little bit more body confident along the way too…

All in all, some very positive things have started to take shape over the past month – I’m feeling much more confident about my ability as a business owner, and I’m starting to be kinder to my body and take those days off when I need them. I feel lucky every single day to get up and do what I love, and it’s important for me to keep evolving – wherever that might take me…

How exciting about the redesign! I’m in the middle of a full overhaul and rebranding too. It’s exciting but so much work. Excited to see the final result.

I feel you regarding changing things around and getting a PT – right now I’m taking driving lessons, but sure PT comes next on my list as soon as I get my license, hehe.

I’m so excited to see your blog redesign! I recently finished designing my own blog, and it is a huge amount of work but so worth it in the end. It feels incredible to have a space that you feel is truly your own.
I also absolutely love your new jewelry collection! All of the pieces are so gorgeous and sophisticated.

I can’t wait to see that new blog design of yours! :DDD

Also, congrats on starting exercising! Doing it with someone else helps a lot as well; puts a bit of pressure on you when you don’t feel like doing it 😛
