Typically, I’d say that a pair of reddy/brown snakeskin boots wouldn’t be first choice of footwear, but I spied these over on Instagram recently, and instantly feel hook, line, and sinker! They are by a brand that I constantly find myself checking up on – Miista. Miista are a Spanish independent brand that create shoes like nothing I have seen before – a serious breath of fresh air when it comes to finding the perfect investment boots. I wanted something that felt a little more exciting, a pair of boots that jazzed up some denim jeans like nothing else…

If you happen to have some Christmas money burning a hole in your pocket, or you just want to treat yourself to a great pair of statement shoes – Miista is your perfect online destination. It’s worth mentioning that they have stores in both Barcelona and London too – I’m itching to visit the London store for my next purchase, it’s nice to try shoes on in real life and come away knowing that you made the right choice! Having said that, I couldn’t have been more impressed when these faux snakeskin babies arrived. They look like the type of shoe that might be uncomfortable, but I can’t stress enough how much of a dream these are to walk around in all day! Finally, a pair of boots that look stylish but don’t leave my feet aching for my sexy UGG slippers at the end of the day…

I wore them all day rushing around London recently, and I have to say they held up wonderfully – they are the most buttery soft leather, so not a blister in sight! I love how they look with a simple daytime outfit like the one above, but they have also been my go-to for nights out now that it’s a tad too cold to be braving my pretty mules and ankle strap shoes. My advice for styling anything statement has always been to keep the rest of the outfit relatively simple and paired back. Obviously, there are no fashion rules, so do whatever makes you feel the most confident! For me, it’s sticking to a minimal denim look with some element of the outfit that ties the shoes in – for instance, the burgundy bag with the little vintage neckerchief. It’s such a simple way to accessories, but instantly makes the bag and shoes elevate the outfit into something completely new.

The boots really do match with so much in my wardrobe too – denim, dresses, midi skirts, and particularly a wide leg trouser for a cool Seventies vibe…
