Hope everyone is having a lovely week so far – thought I’d share this little black cami dress with you to lighten the mid-week blow. I can only apologise in advance with regards to the grimey location – lets just call it grungey shall we? I promise to mix things up soon location wise, I’m planning to venture around Manchester a little more to seek out some new, slightly more picturesque spots. Although, I can’t promise my stances or facial expressions will get any less awkward but  here’s to hoping…

This outfit is a particularly simple one, the main focus being this delicious cami dress from Glamorous. It’s made from the most beautiful satin material that makes you feel rather fancy, and is perfect for swishing around in. It falls at a really flattering length on the legs, and it’s the type of dress you can wear over and over again without anybody noticing. Here, I’ve just let the dress do all the talking and added my trusty Converse to keep things casual. By adding an over-sized denim jacket it’s cool without trying too hard by overloading in the accessories department. It looks like you’ve just picked it straight off the bedroom floor (in my case anyway), grabbed a jacket and rushed out the door. Which is always a great look in my opinion – I never feel comfortable if I look too polished, and I always like my hair to look like I’ve taken off a turtle neck a few times. Which is actually a great tip for achieving instant bed head or just a decent salt spray if you want to stick to a more conventional method…

Glamorous also stock this dress in three other lovely shades, including rose satin and silver satin. I happen to have my eye on the silver one next – it would make the perfect festival outfit with a pair of green wellies and a vintage jacket tied round the waist. You could even layer them up if the weather isn’t behaving by adding a t shirt underneath and some sheer tights for a full on nineties girl band vibe. It’s also the style of dress that can be easily dressed up and made to look instantly classy with a quick switch up of make up and shoes. For instance, I’m already itching to wear mine with a red lip, some strappy sliver sandals and a messy bun for a sexy ‘french girl goes for dinner’ kind of feel.
