I’m so happy that I can finally share these images we shot for the new H&M X Richard Allan campaign – it’s honestly been a dream to work on, and one of those collaborations that just felt so effortless and fun…

This post isn’t sponsored by the way! I just wanted to share all the images in one place for you guys on top of the few that I’ve posted over on Instagram as part of a paid collaboration. The new collection is available to shop now and it’s a real dream for any Sixties/Seventies fanatics. It feels like a real love letter to an era that I endlessly romanticise, and I couldn’t be more excited to work with H&M as part of the launch…

Richard Allan is known for his incredible scarfs and abstract patterns – he’s also worked with the likes of Yves Saint Laurent! He founded his own brand in the early Sixties and quickly became recognised for bold designs and vibrant colours. When you look at this collection, you can really see how all the individual pieces work in harmony with one another. The true sign of an amazing collection in my opinion! There’s such a strong theme that runs throughout it – it almost feels like a time capsule! You know that I love character dressing by now, so anything that makes me feel like I’m about to unlock my vintage car and drive off into the sunset is welcomed with open arms…

I was particularly excited about the silk scarf revival as they are such a fun staple in my wardrobe and a piece that I’ve styled in many different ways on this blog over the years. I used to love wearing them in my hair when it was much longer, but I also love wearing them around my neck now that it’s way shorter! I think it looks really cute with a bob style hair cut and all of the designs in this collection are super wearable…

I  often wear a silk scarf around my neck with a low cut blouse as part of an evening look, but I also wear them in the daytime a lot when I feel as though my outfit needs a little something extra! This monochrome style happened to be long enough to fashion a belt out of which rarely happens when I find a style of scarf that I love. The strong black and white print really breaks up an otherwise very beige looking outfit – I think I could definitely get away with this for the evening with strappy black sandals and an oversized blazer…

Whether you just want to play it safe with a simple scarf, or go all out Sixties explosion with an abstract print dress – this collection has something for every shade of vintage loving personality…

As part of the launch, I’ll also be at the H&M Manchester store this evening (29th August, 6-8pm), so stop by after work if you fancy rummaging through the collection with me and having a natter about silk scarfs! It would be great to meet some of you in real life, and it also means that I won’t have to rope some of the store mannequins into being my friends for two hours if a few of you happen to turn up…

Anyway, I had so much fun shooting these images and putting all of this content together! I’d love to know what you guys think of the collection and which pieces you have on your wish-lists…
