Alice Catherine Alice Catherine

The last time I featured this skirt, it was styled in a slightly dressier fashion. I thought it would be nice to shoot it in a much more laid back style as it’s the type of skirt that plays a huge part in my wardrobe all year round…

I’d say my personal style switches a lot between ‘girly’ vintage pieces and then traditionally ‘masculine’ tailored pieces. The last outfit I posted with this skirt in contrast to this current one are a perfect examples of the different sides to my wardrobe. I’m someone who’s either in vintage pearls or chunky stomping boots – there doesn’t seem to be much in-between, and I’m absolutely okay with that. It makes my wardrobe fun to have this sort of variety and means that I can always dress for my mood…

I love how the gingham looks with a plain white tank top and ankle boots to toughen it up. It’s a floaty skirt that feels quite feminine, so it’s nice to see it styled with such a stark contrast of pieces. It reinforces the idea that classic pieces are important and have longevity. After all, how can I get bored of a skirt that seems to inspire endless outfit options?…

I think it will also look nice with a crop jumper, sheer tights, and my black Ganni cowboy style boots when autumn/winter comes around. I really treasure pieces like this because they stop me pining for ‘new in’ and make me reexamine what I already have…

You’re also very into earth tones and that makes your style much more peculiar as well ^^. I love that skirt!
