There’s something about this time of year that brings out the colourful side in me – I love all the blossom trees that start making an appearance, turning my Spring walks into pastel havens that eventually start to rub off on my wardrobe…

Pastel colours are always easy to work into my Spring wardrobe because they go so well with a pair of vintage jeans. I love wearing a little satin top and some Nineties style strappy sandals with a pair of boyish fit jeans. It always makes me feel like I’ve stepped off the set of a Nineties romcomalthough I’m happy to leave the hair mascara and over-plucked eyebrows behind…

I love this little Free People top – it really feels like something you’d stumble across in a vintage store that’s too discoloured to justify the price tag. I have the medium (reviews said to size up) and it fits perfectly. I pretty much always get a medium in my tops, but I find Free People to be generally quite oversized, so just something to consider if you’re thinking of making a purchase…

I feel like it could be a really sweet little wedding party top too – paired with a cream satin midi skirt and a beaded bag. I’m yet to test it out with trousers, but I feel as though some structured linen ones could do the trick! Perhaps with some really chunky sandals for an extra Nineties edge. I love the challenge of styling a top that’s as overtly girly as this one, it always like a fun piece to build an outfit around…
