I thought I’d kick of the first of the festive looks with some recent work I did for Zalando – this blog post isn’t sponsored by the way, but I loved the images we shot for Instagram, and wanted to share them over on here too. The outfit features two of my favourite brands this year, so I thought it was fitting to go into a little more detail about them, whilst hopefully inspiring some festivity at the same time…

First up we have a blouse from Samsoe & Samsoe – a brand I only discovered earlier this year, and have found myself falling more and more in love with. In terms of the high street – I only really shop at And Other Stories and Mango these days (and sometimes Urban Outfitters). I shop a lot of vintage and second hand, and the more I do, the more I find myself less interested by what the High Street has to offer. However, sometimes I’ll just be after something specific, and I’ve found that Samsoe & Samsoe have some really unique pieces. They are a Scandinavian rooted brand with simplicity at the forefront of their designs – they definitely don’t lack personality though! Yet another brand discovery that finds my wardrobe moving further away from the temptations of the High Street…

Their knitwear is pretty glorious too – you might have spied me in this yellow knit over on Instagramit’s such great quality, and you really get something that feels high end. They have a slightly higher price point than the likes of And Other Stories, but everything I’ve had from them so far has been worth it – I’m already excited to see what their summer collection brings!

I thought this blouse was the perfect festive piece for someone like me (who doesn’t really dress up) – it’s got such a timeless feel to it, but the vibrant green and waist tie really make it feel festive drinks appropriate. Teamed with a pair of fitted black trousers and some ankle strap shoes, it’s one of those fail safe looks that I know I’ll be repeating all December long…

The trousers are by my second favourite brand of the season – Massimo Dutti. If they aren’t on your radar already, then all I can say is that you’re very welcome (and apologies to your bank balance in advance). They are some of the best fitting black trousers I’ve ever had, and I can’t express to you how comfortable they are – definitely try and pick a pair up if they aren’t sold out everywhere. They are listed as jeans, but feel absolutely nothing like denim – figure forming and and perfect for dancing all night long…

Also, if you haven’t picked up your winter coat yet, I’d definitely recommend browsing Massimo Duti before making a commitment – they have one of the best outerwear collections I’ve ever seen. I recently picked up this checked parker which is unlike anything I own, and I really can’t wait to style it for the blog! It’s such a cosy coat, and makes me feel like a five year old whenever I wear it…

Anyway, I hoped you like this simple little festive look – I feel like these are such easy pieces to pull off, and ones that aren’t just suited to party season (sequins, I’m looking at you). The Mango satin bag really ties everything together with a pop of sunshiny goodness, and seems to be heavily inspired by The Row satin bags that are considerably more expensive…
