A cosy knit and a midi skirt are always a fail safe for me at this time of year – especially when teamed with chunky ankle boots. I think one of my greatest investments this year has to be these Grenson boots – they are doing quite the rounds over on Instagram, and I can definitely see why. They make any outfit extra warming on those bitterly cold days, and they keep my feet toasty and dry during the all too often Manchester downpour. I’ve been wearing them with everything and anything, and they haven’t given me blisters once…

I’ve been getting a lot of questions about them so I thought it would be best to give you a mini review on here. For the first couple of wears they were a bit stiff to walk in – I opted for thick socks, and after about three or four wears they were buttery soft and moulded to the shape of my feet. As someone who has always been willing to suffer for Dr Martens, I am very impressed indeed to have found their much comfier cousin. This particular style is called the Nanetteand I have heard that they will be coming back into stock very soon, so keep your eyes pealed if you want them in time for Christmas

I went with my usual size six because I knew that I’d always want to wear thick socks with them throughout the winter months. However, they have really loosened up over time, so definitely something to consider if you are between sizes etc. I’d recommend visiting a Grenson store if you can – they might even have your size/preferred style in stock too! I also kindly got sent this Arlo style recently, which have been a nice replacement for the Joseph ones that I wore endlessly last year. I still love those ones to death, but the soles have come away slightly which is very disappointing for such a high end boot. All in all, Grenson have fast become a firm favourite when it comes to the perfect stomping boots, and I’m sure that these are styles I will continue to wear for years to come!

Baby pink mohair and leopard print feel very pleasing to the Nineties child in me – I love how subtle and delicate both the pieces are, as oppose to what you might first imagine when someone describes the two prints paired together. Rouje do some of the softest knitwear out there, so if you’ve had this jumper on your wishlist – I can guarantee  that you won’t be disappointed. This is the kind of combination that instantly makes me feel better on a grey and gloomy winters day…

  1. This outfit is beautiful, I love the way the pink works with the leopard print. I’ve seen these skirts styled a lot recently but with this pink knit, I think I now need to buy one! x
