As someone who grew up with a general aversion to the colour pink, it seems to be slowly working it’s way into my life as of late. I’m not about to start wearing fuchsia pink anytime soon (it’s just not my colour), but I’m here for all the peachy, nude, and blush tones that have been making a come back. We are living in an age of millennial pink admiration, and I guess if you see enough of it around, you start to become a little curious about what all the fuss is about…

I’ve started to become a little more experimental in terms of colour – I’ve loved adding the odd pink pieces to our new place too, nude bedding, blush toned cushions, and a pink ceramic vase to name but a few…

It’s a great way to add a subtle bit of colour to white wash walls and wooden floors, and I find that this particular shade of pink works really well with greens, mustards, and blues. If you’re in a rented place like we are, it’s a great way to inject personality into your living space without getting kicked out for painting the walls…

In terms of clothing, I’ve been obsessed with all things pink linen. I’m on the hunt for the perfect peachy pink dress for summer – I have this vision for an outfit, so I’m a woman on a mission. I’m thinking tan accessories and red lips would be a dream, combined with a summer tan that I don’t currently have. I’ve been trying my best to fake tan, but it’s not something that comes natural to me, and my god it’s an effort! Shout out to the girls that do it weekly because it’s basically a full body work out trying to make sure all bases are covered, and I somehow always miss a spot…

Anyway, as I was saying, I’ve been trying to add a little pink into my wardrobe and play around with different feminine pieces for summer. I kindly got sent these trousers by Finery London, and I can’t rave about them enough if you’ve previously had a bit of a pink phobia like myself. They are the most beautiful pinky nude colour, and fit like a high waist dream. I love how they look with this white Rouje blouse for a summer in the city inspired look – ideal for strolling, and an afternoon of gin drinking, or perhaps a frosé situation to match the outfit. It gives me a little sense of satisfaction when lifestyle objects co-ordinate with what I’m wearing that day – even when it’s planned, but especially when it happens accidentally …
