CURRENT MAKE UP BAG

I’ve finally put together a little make up post for you guys – this is something I get asked about almost daily, so I thought I’d share what I’m currently using on my face and why it works for me. It’s worth mentioning that I’m in no way an expert when it comes to make up, and I’ve pretty much stuck to the same look since I was seventeen. I’m hugely inspired by sixties make up – Edie Sedgwick, Francoise Hardy, and of course Jane Birkin, have all influenced the way I like to put my make up together…

LITTLE BLACK SWING DRESS

Hope you’re all having a great week so far – I’m beyond ready for Friday to show it’s face as you can probably tell from these photos – the eye bags are real. Just wanted to share this little swing dress with you by a brand called Nobody’s Child, who I’ve mentioned a few times already, both on here and over on Instagram. They have some really great affordable pieces that often feel vintage inspired with a bit of a modern twist…

POLKA DOT SLIP

There’s been quite a few cooler days here in Manchester recently – which I’ve actually been thankful for! It’s the perfect opportunity to layer up a simple slip dress and dig out the ankle boots. As much as I love sandals and summery shoes, they can make your outfits seem a bit boring and repetitive after a while. Hence, why I’m looking forward to the seasonal changes that the next few months have in store…

SUNDAY STROLLS

This week has flown by for me so a chilled out weekend was just what the doctor ordered. I love spending Sundays wandering around Manchester in search of new coffee spots, before heading back home to watch a film and try out new recipes with my favourite human. It’s also the perfect opportunity to wear something laid back and comfortable – which I’m always in favor of in case you hadn’t guessed already…

MEMORY LANE

Last weekend I got to travel up to the Lake District for what felt like the first time in ages! We headed up there to celebrate a friend’s wedding and it was a much needed change of scenery. Sometimes it’s nice to find yourself with little or no internet connection and just switch off from city life…

BRIGHT EYES | BLUE DENIM

I’ve spoken about my love for denim a lot so far on this blog – it’s something I’m naturally drawn to and base the majority of my outfits around. Good denim that fits you well and is the right shade seems to be a nightmare to come by. Therefore, my advice would be not to hesitate if you find a great piece of vintage denim, it will open up your wardrobe to new options and last you for years to come…

LITTLE RED PLAYSUIT

Heyy guys – hope you’re all having a wonderful week in the sun so far! First up, just wanted to address my sudden change of hair colour. Basically, I’m off to a wedding on the weekend and couldn’t get a hair appointment to tone down my previously quite coppery affair, so I decided to dye it myself. I had one of those hair colours that looks great indoors but for taking blog pictures or when caught in direct daylight, it was just bright orange. Anyway, not the look I was going for, and I must say neither was much darker but it should fade to a nice medium brown with a couple of washes…

PANCAKES

Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend so far – thought I’d quickly share yesterday’s outfit in a little more detail. The killer combination of wind and rain meant I found myself digging out a pair of tights for the first time in a long while. I still wanted to keep the look summery so I threw on some frayed denim shorts and a dark floral summer blouse for that British summer feel…

SUEDE IN SUMMER

If you live in England then you’ll know that the hotter days during summer are quite sporadic, meaning you have to master a happy medium when it comes to getting dressed in the morning. This could be anything from throwing a chunky knit over your favourite dress, or adding some ankle socks to your chosen footwear. Basically, anything that says you’re prepared for the weather to change at the drop of a hat.

CURRENT SKINCARE ROUTINE

Hey all – hope you’re well and having a nice lazy Sunday. Thought I’d do something a bit different and share some of my favourite skincare products with you in a little more depth. It’s worth mentioning that I am in no way a skincare expert and what works for me won’t necessarily work for someone else. These are just products that I’ve tried, tested and often repurchased because they have benefited my skin in some way.
