BARCELONA ON FILM | PRIMAVERA SOUND

I’m writing this blog post on a Wednesday afternoon – we just landed back in Manchester, and I went straight for an iced coffee and to get my rolls of film developed. I like to start writing and editing as soon as I get back from a trip, otherwise I feel as though the holiday thoughts leave my head, and it starts to feel like more of a chore to put everything together. I always want to capture a bit of the holiday magic whilst it’s still occupying my brain, and this was certainly a trip to remember…

PACKING LIST: A SUMMER CITY BREAK

I get quite a lot of questions about what I pack when I go away, and I don’t think it’s ever something I’ve sat down to discuss on here. I’m not the most organised packer in the world, but I do try and always start the day before, and I try to make a little list to guide me in the right direction. I find packing for a beach holiday a total breeze – just lots of swimwear, cami tops, and high waist shorts. A few little wrap dresses thrown in there and you really can’t go too wrong. However, packing for a city break is a whole new ball game, and one that I have to offer a little more thought…

BORDEAUX TO BIARRTZ | FRANCE ON FILM

This week, I was lucky enough to discover the south of France for a couple of days with Jimmy FairlyBordeaux and Biarritz to be exact – I’ve mentioned that I spent quite a lot of time holidaying in France as a kid, so it always feels like a second home to me whenever I get the chance to go back. I’d actually never been to either places, so I was intrigued to discover what they had to offer, and whether they would become places I’d be permanently pining to travel back to…

TIME OF MY OWN

I’ve had travelling on the mind lately – moving flats occupied the start of the year, and now we are all settled in, I’m itching to explore some exciting new places. When I was putting together my recent Travelling songs playlist, it got me thinking about how the journey is often such a significant part of travelling for me. Something about being in the car for a long period of time, or taking a train journey some place new –  uninterrupted time to utilise in any way that I choose…

TRAVELLING SONGS | A PLAYLIST

I’m heading to beautiful France next week – Bordeaux to be precise. I used to go camping in France every year when I was younger, so it’s always somewhere that feels very nostalgic to me. I’m heading there with work which feels extra exciting – I have to pinch myself whenever I get invited somewhere new. It’s very much a perk of the job, and I’m so incredibly grateful to those of you who invest time in the content I create each week. I’ve kind of had travelling on the mind lately – the warmer weather seems to do that to me. I thought I’d make another playlist as you guys seem to love a curated list of songs as much as I love putting them together…

WARM IN WINTER | CAFÉ DE FLORE

I recently got the chance to visit Café De Flore whilst in Paris – I have to blame Tumblr and Pinterest for making me want to go, and spending a ridiculous amount on coffee. However, it’s definitely worth it as a little luxurious treat, sometimes we all need a little of that in our lives – particularly in January. I don’t know what it is about this time of the month that turns me into a sluggish, unmotivated, sloth creature. I just haven’t been hit with that new year get up and go just yet, so a little getaway provided the perfect distraction…

WHITE SHOES IN WINTER

After a few wonderful and relatively stress free days in Paris, it feels good to be home and getting my teeth sunk into some new blog posts. We managed to shoot quite a few outfits during our stay, so you can expect lots of Paris themed content coming your way over the next couple of weeks! It was quite a chilled trip in all honesty – half of it was spent picture taking, and the other half exploring some of the places on my wish list. Paris is definitely one of those places that gets better with each visit – especially once you’ve ticked off all the usual tourist spots. It’s only then that you can really wander around without the inevitable tourist guilt that presents itself when visiting a new city…

24 HOURS IN PARIS | HERMESMATIC

Last week I was lucky enough to head back to one of my favourite places for a brand experience that I could only ever have dreamed of before now. I got the chance to fly to Paris for the night with Hermes, to discover more about their Hermesmatic pop up event and what truly inspires their timeless silk scarf designs…

A SICILIAN GETAWAY | A WEEK OF HIGHLIGHTS

I spent all of last week in beautiful Sicily, in the little hilltop town of Taormina to be precise! Positano, Puglia and Lake Garda had all been high on my Italian wish list, but we finally settled on Taormina after a couple of weeks of researching. We left booking a summer getaway until the very last minute, so neither of us knew what to expect. We arrived in the middle of the night, groggy from the flight, and unable to see much of the landscape around us. On the first morning, I woke up around 5am and pushed open our balcony shutters to find a pastel pink sunrise waiting for me. I was instantly filled with excitement, a sudden feeling that this was a place I was going to fall deeply in love with…

DS AUTOMOBILES | A PARISIAN ADVENTURE

I recently had a very ‘pinch me’ opportunity to visit Paris in collaboration with DS Automobiles – the chance to ride around the magical city and uncover some secret locations along the way. I last visited in February and it pretty much rained the entire time in true Parisian style, but Paris in the sunshine is way more beautiful than I ever could have imagined…
