THE WHITE SUMMER DRESS

The white summer dress is something I’ve been gravitating towards every summer since the beginning of time (or just 1992). It feels light and airy, and there’s a little white dress out there for everyone. It’s rare that I do these kind of round up posts – but sometimes I find these really useful when I’m feeling overwhelmed by the high street, and just really need to find that perfect LWD that fits like a glove. This one is by Pixie Market, and I couldn’t recommend them enough if you’re looking for pieces that have a designer feel to them but without the intimidating price tag…

NOSTALGIC SUMMER PLAYLIST

Hope you’re all having a wonderful week in the sunshine, no matter how you’re spending it! I made a summer playlist recently, so thought I’d share it with you guys on here as always. I really love putting these together, and getting messages saying you’re enjoying them – whether it’s revising, secretly listening in the office, or just enjoying from your bedroom. It makes me very happy indeed, and hopefully you love this one just as much as I do. It’s a mix of artists/songs that always make me feel nostalgic in some way – whether it’s fond memories of old summer holidays, past heartbreak, or dancing badly around my flat…

SOME HOME UPDATES

It’s been a few months since we moved into our new place now, and it’s really starting to take shape and feel like home. I’ve had quite a few weekends away from the flat over the last couple of months, so I’d fallen a bit out of love with getting it finished, and decorating had started to feel like a little bit of a chore. Fear not, the last week resting up at home has been a bit of a god send. Having an operation might seem like a bit of a downer, but it’s actually kick started the home organisation fanatic in me, and I’ve been reaping the benefits…

KITRI SUMMER DRESSES

I recently discovered KITRI – a brand that has been increasingly present on my radar thanks to the joys of Instagram. I still get really excited whenever I discover a new brand that gives me the feeling. The feeling of which I can only describe as ‘omg, so I guess I need everything’. Of course, I never buy everything – no one person needs that amount of clothes, but it’s nice for a girl to have options. All too often, I feel as though the high street becomes a bit stagnant and I fall out of love with my once favourite shopping destinations, so it’s nice that there are still so many new brands cropping up with a new way of doing things…

TWO DAYS IN TOULOUSE | LA VILLE ROSE

I recently got to spend two beautiful days in the south of France with Klorane. We headed to Toulouse – known as La Ville Rose (‘The Pink City’) because of it’s peachy/pink architecture. We spent our time discovering the history of Klorane, eating the best food, and exploring the local vineyards. It was such a lovely trip because it was a particularly small group – I much prefer these types of work trips because you feel as though you get to know everyone a bit better, and it feels much more intimate…

THE IMPORTANCE OF OFFLINE

A lot of us have jobs that involve us spending the majority of our time glued to screens – long gone are the days of fresh feeling eyeballs and hands that are’t eager to endlessly scroll. Whether it’s part of your job or not, the online world can be an extremely addictive place. We catch up with people in terms of what their Instagram stories show us, and forget that so much of social media isn’t an accurate representation of the real world that we live in…

A DRESS TO WEAR FOREVER

The wrap dress is my favourite kind – endlessly flattering, ageless, and cool with whatever footwear you left at the front door. It’s also no secret that polka dots are a favourite of mine, I seem to just gravitate towards them, and they have a huge presence in my wardrobe. Last year I invested in this Realisation Par dress, and at the time, I didn’t realise (no pun intended) just how much it would become one of those basic styling pieces that I would come to rely on in times of spectacular wardrobe meltdowns…

KEEPING UP & STANDING OUT

I wanted to sit down and have a little chat about content as it’s been at the forefront of my mind lately. Whenever a new feature pops up in the blogging world, it has me struck with that same sudden feeling of guilt. How will I stretch myself across another platform? What will I have to bring to his new avenue of social media that I haven’t already shared? Is it even necessary to be everywhere all at once?, or has blogging culture just turned into one big massive juggling act that nobody can really keep up with without an Instagram husband, two PA’s, and an expensive photographer?…

TWENTY SIX

Today marks twenty six years on Earth. A large proportion of those years spent daydreaming, spilling drinks down myself, and shrinking my favourite T-shirts beyond recognition. Today also marks the second year anniversary of my first ever blog post – yup, my blog is now two years old. When I think about how much has changed in the last two years, it blows my mind – sometimes there’s so much pressure to focus on the future, that we forget to stop and appreciate how much we have achieved…
