PALOMA WOOL

I have a lot to thank Instagram for in terms of the way I dress – I doubt that I would have discovered half the brands that hang in my wardrobe had it not been for my endless feed of inspiration. In a lot of ways, I feel that having that accessibility to independent brands and constant new in can be overwhelming. However, nothing compares to the feeling of getting it right – finding a brand that just feels like you, that designs the clothes you can only imagine and offer you that much needed wardrobe refresh…

This brings me nicely to Paloma Wool – a brand I had followed for a while on Instagram before finally making on online purchase. Annoyingly, a lot of the brands that I lust after are based abroad – which can be off putting when it comes to shipping and handling. It’s really easy to get stuck into a routine of scrolling through the same online shops, instead of taking a risk and opting for something that not everyone is likely to have. The high street spoils us in that way – everything is on a plate for us, and we can bag a whole new outfit plus accessories by lunch time. Lately, I’ve been making more of an effort to shop at smaller boutiques, and find some truly unique pieces that really make me feel excited about getting dressed in the morning.

I opted for one of their classic blouses with a bold naked lady print all over it – I say bold because I have had the odd stare whilst wearing this, but I actually find the overall look quite subtle and minimal. That’s what drew me to it – it makes a statement and it feels super feminine, but it’s still that everyday blouse that I’ll never get tired of. I really feel like I’m wearing a piece of art, and what better way to represent my love for the female form in all it’s glory? I’d definitely recommend checking out Paloma Wool if you haven’t already – I have my eye on a couple of their T-shirts next! Shipping was quick and simple, and the packaging is amongst some of the coolest I’ve ever seen…
