A SLEEPOVER IN THE COTSWOLDS | DISCOVER AVEDA

This week I got the chance to head to the Cotswold for an overnight stay with AVEDA – a brand that I have come to both love and respect over the last couple of years! The trip was a chance to get to know more about Aveda’s heritage, whilst also exploring Ayurveda and how it’s shaped the very foundations of the brands continued philosophy…

STAYING INSPIRED | HELLO FASHION MAGAZINE

I have always been a fan of magazines from as far back as I can remember, whether it was picking my mums up from the coffee table and scribbling my own ideas all over them, or buying in bulk so that I could cut and paste them all over my bedroom walls. I love to be surrounded by imagery, and I feel that this is where my love of fashion and photography stems from. Now that media is readily available to us online, it’s easy to abandon the pastime of bringing home your favourite magazine, written by creatives you admire, full of carefully curated inspiration for whenever you decide you need a little escapism…

YELLOW BRICK ROAD

I recently did something I don’t do all that often and wore the colour yellow – a little vintage blouse I came across I was absolutely certain wouldn’t suit me. I did that thing where I tried it on in the mirror a few different ways, before taking it off and throwing it to the side. The next day, I came back to it, put it on again and tied it up with my jeans – this day I didn’t really care if it suited me or not, the colour made me feel good and this got me thinking about how life tends to trick us into thinking we know what we want, and how quickly this can shift in the space of a week…

ON MY MIND LATELY

I wanted to discuss something that’s been on my mind as of late – I’m not normally one to address negativity as I don’t think it’s productive, but when it’s constantly available to you throughout the day, it can often be a bit overwhelming. By this, I mean the constant steam of negativity regarding the blogging community – whether it’s sponsored content, photoshop accusations, or some kind of unnecessary witch hunt, I see creative people (who are brave enough to put themselves out there) be picked a part every single day in one way or another…

HOT SUMMER BEAUTY | ESSENTIALS MENU

I feel like we all have the best intentions to dress up and do our make up on holiday – it’s a time when we want to feel out best! However, when the time comes around, we realise just how hot and sweaty those summer nights are, and once again crave a minimal routine with products that do more than they say on the tin…

A SICILIAN GETAWAY | A WEEK OF HIGHLIGHTS

I spent all of last week in beautiful Sicily, in the little hilltop town of Taormina to be precise! Positano, Puglia and Lake Garda had all been high on my Italian wish list, but we finally settled on Taormina after a couple of weeks of researching. We left booking a summer getaway until the very last minute, so neither of us knew what to expect. We arrived in the middle of the night, groggy from the flight, and unable to see much of the landscape around us. On the first morning, I woke up around 5am and pushed open our balcony shutters to find a pastel pink sunrise waiting for me. I was instantly filled with excitement, a sudden feeling that this was a place I was going to fall deeply in love with…

MY HOLIDAY WARDROBE | TAORMINA

Holiday dressing is something I look forward to every year – I think it’s because a lot more precise styling is usually involved, which is something I don’t tend to do at home. My day to day life involves chucking on what feels nice (or what’s clean/closest to me), so a luggage limit always leaves me laying out all my outfits the night before. I always try to take a few neutral pieces away with me – items that I can mix and match, and shoes that compliment a few different looks are key! I received so many lovely messages from you guys whilst I was away, so thought I’d give you a proper run down of everything I took with me…
